6-hr description

The 6-hr course is designed to be a fast, and non-technical course.  For those looking to try your first adventure races, this one is for you.  For those will little multi-sport experience, if you can run a half marathon, and are comfortable on a bike, and in a kayak, you can do this race.

Kayak:  The kayak represents approximately 40% of the course.  It will take the racers to another island, with only a minimal crossing.  There will be very little boat traffic to deal with on this leg, and the racer will stay in close proximity to the beautiful shoreline for the majority of the paddle.

Bike:  The bike leg is approximately 20% of the race.  Most of the bike will take place on roads, with only short sections of gravel roads, and paths.  Again, this is a non-technical route that will allow racers with limited biking experience to still enjoy this leg.

Trek:  There are a couple of different trek legs in the race that make up the remaining 40% of the course.  Most of the trekking will involve single-track trails.  Navigation on this leg will be the most difficult in the race.  All check points will be on trails, and racers are required to stay on trails (even though some are quite small) through out the trekking leg.
