The San Juan Islands first annual Island Quest Adventure Race held Saturday, Sept. 20th 2008 was a great success. This year offered a 6 hour race. Many of our athletes were first timers to more than one disciplin, several were veterans to the sport and one of our athletes climbed Mt Everest. Congratulations to John Pachuta,of Friday Harbor WA for your efforts and hard work that produced our 1st Place finisher.
Island Quest "IQ" and Island Athletic Events would like to thank everyone that made this event happen. It Rained from throughout the day which added additional challanges to the Kayaking, trekking, biking and orienteering! The kayaking truly is among the best in the world (yes, world).
